Accessing TMS
-
Go to https://timesheets.brooklyn.cuny.edu
- Login using your credentials.
- If you do not remember your credentials, you can follow the steps below to Reset Your Password.

Upon successful login, you will be greeted with a welcome message and a Timesheets application button.
- Click on the Timesheets application button to start viewing/managing your timesheet.

Go to https://timesheets.brooklyn.cuny.edu

Reset your Forgotten Password

From the Login page , click on the Forgot your Password? link.

Enter your Email Address OR Username and click on Email me my Password Reset Link button.
If your Username/Email address is found, an email will be sent to you with a password reset link. - Open your Email and find the email with Subject "Reset your password". In that email, look for your Username and for the Reset My Password button. Click on the button and you will be taken to the Reset Password page.

On the Reset Password page, enter your Username and your New Password (twice).
- Press the Reset My Password button to reset your password.
- Now you may login with your newly created password.

From the Login page , click on the Forgot your Password? link.

Punch In & Out

When working on-campus

Punch in using a biometric device most common
Place your finger on a biometric reader, and upon a successful match, you will be punched in.

Punch in using your PIN alternative method
Should you have issues punching in via biometric device, your supervisor/timekeeper will allow you to enrol via a numeric PIN. This PIN was given to you by your timekeeper/supervisor.
Enter your PIN via a Num Pad or keyboard and press the Enter key, and upon a successful match, you will be punched in.
Note: for verification purposes, a photo will be taken at the time of punching in via PIN

When working REMOTELY
- Login to TMS and click on the Timesheets tab.

To Punch In, locate today's row on your timesheet and click the
button

To Punch Out, locate today's row and click the
button

When working on-campus
-
Entering Sick & Annual Leaves
- Login to TMS and click on the Timesheets tab.

Locate the day you would like to add Sick/Annual hours to. Click on the date link in the left column.

A popup dialog will open displaying that day in a detailed view.
Click on the Modify Leaves button on the right side to open the Leaves popup dialog.

Use the Hours and Minutes dropdown menus to enter the Sick/Annual hours for that day.
Press the Save button to save or Cancel to go back.

Leaving a Comment
-
Comments are a great way to let your timekeeper/supervisor know when there is a change (such as a reminder or a schedule change discussed ahead of time, or that the Punchclock was down that day)
Note: All schedule changes should be discuss with your supervisor ahead of time.
- You can leave a comment by selecting the day you wish to leave a comment for.

In the detailed day dialog, enter your comment in the Comments section on the right side of the dialog.
- Press Save to save your comment.

Your comments will be saved and visible to your and your timekeeper/supervisor. You may leave several comments.
Your comments is also visible from the timesheet view by hovering your mouse over the icon on the right.

Ready for Verification

At the end of the pay period, you will need to notify your timekeeper/supervisor that your timesheet is ready to be verified/approved by clicking on the Ready for Verification button.
Your timekeeper/supervisor will be notified that your timesheet is ready to be verified.

You will be asked to confirm your changes - choose OK.
- At this point, your timekeeper/supervisor will verify/approve and submit your timesheet.

Should you need to make further changes to your timesheet, you can bring the timesheet back to the Initial stage by clicking on the Inital button.
Note:
This option is only available if the timesheet has not been Verified or Approved.
If your timesheet has already been Verified or Approved, no further action is necessary on your part.
